MidCity Office Furniture continues “Stampede for Support” to benefit Food Bank of WNY. Microsoft Word Version

Buffalo, NY: MidCity Office Furniture would like to announce their second “Stampede for Support” to benefit Food Bank of WNY. As part of the “Stampede for Support”, MidCity Office Furniture is participating in KenTon Chamber of Commerce’s 1st Annual “Feed the Community” food drive. On Saturday, October 14, 2006, Butch, MidCity’s 8 foot tall, 250lb bison will be on site at Greater Buffalo Savings Banks Delaware Avenue in Tonawanda branch accepting donations.



Here are the details:

  • The Food Bank is in dire need of non-perishable food items, such as jars of peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, rice, chili, vegetables, fruit, tomato sauce, spaghetti and soup.
  • “Stampede for Support” is taking place at Greater Buffalo Savings Bank Town of Tonawanda Branch, 3438 Delaware Avenue, Kenmore, New York 14217 from 9am – 3pm on Saturday, September 14.
  • Check presentation and photo opportunities on Saturday at 11am.
  • To benefit “Food Bank of WNY” in partnership with KenTon Chamber of Commerce’s “Feed the Community” food drive occurring from October 1, 2006 – November 17, 2006. More details below.
  • In Partnership with Greater Buffalo Savings Banks “Greater Weekends” campaign. Monetary donations can be made at any Greater Buffalo Savings Bank branch.
  • Butch is not a part of the “Herd About Buffalo” campaign and is much larger.

1st Annual “Feed the Community” Food Drive
The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Chamber of Commerce will be conducting a Food Drive to benefit the Food Bank of Western New York, which supplies food to food pantries, outreach centers and programs throughout Western New York. Non perishable food items, as well as food gift cards can be dropped off at the Chamber of Commerce o office, 3411 Delaware Ave., in Kenmore from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 1 and running through Nov. 17. The Food Bank is in dire need of non-perishable food items, such as jars of peanut butter and jelly; cans or pouches of tuna fish; Macaroni and Cheese; any type of rice; canned stews, chili, vegetables, fruit, tomato sauce, spaghetti and soups. Infant and Baby Needs—any brand of infant formula; any variety of baby food and cereals; and any brand and size of diapers. Non Food Items: Dish and laundry detergent; shampoo; bar soap; toiletry items; paper towels; toilet and facial tissues.
